If you over seed brassicas you will often end up with a bunch of stunted little plants. I've done it several times. Might be able to help that with some fertilizer?

Brassicas are growing, hopefully quick enough to get a good amount by November.
Supposed to rain tonight, so I put out my urea and cereal rye.

My radishes are looking pretty good . Pretty happy with my clover plots as well . The last 2 early springs I’ve overseeded my clover & it’s the best I’ve ever had . I did spray it once this year & mowed it 3 times & it’s bringing in the most deer I’ve ever had. Hoping for a good season. Good luck everyone

I had a real nice plot of turnips going but we've not had rain in three weeks or so and none in forecast anytime soon. Doesn't look favorable.

Status of my food plot. Clover looks good in some areas, thin in others. I'm going to spray to terminate the rye and the few weeds here and there, Friday if weather cooperates. Then follow with mowing sometime in May probably.

I mowed 1/2 of my clover plot today. Weeds were not too bad, so I didn't end up spraying Imox after all. I figure I can always spray later on if it needs it.

What height do you mow at I used my riding mower at highest height, probably 5-6 inches. That's why I only did half, I'm waiting to see how that half bounces back before I do the other side. I'm learning all this as I go, using the equipment that I have.

The side of the plot I mowed last Friday is bouncing back nicely, so I went ahead and mowed the other side last night. The riding mower didn't cut all the rye off clean, but I figure I at least killed most of it, which was the real goal.

Heck these storms are killing me ! 3 of my small plots have trees down in them &I have 4 other trees down. I have to mow Friday & was hoping to clean up the trees in small plots , but 100 degrees it’s not looking promising at this point . I have stuff going on the next few weekends so my last shot is Labor Day weekend to get them in . Radishes & Turnips with rape & clover mixes.

I don't think I will be able to get back to plant anything this year. My Pop passed away in April, so I went back for that for a couple weeks. Was hoping to get in over the summer and do something but his passing changed stuff up abit. Will be home for his memorial and lay his ashes at the cabin end of the month or start of next month. Will be able to do at least a little something. Will be alot different this year without him. But looking forward to the season starting. Good luck to you all in your pre season endeavors. As always, enjoy reading everyone's posts. Looking forward to getting back home this season...SF Woody

I’m sure you’ll know if it happens.
