Blasphemy!!! š
We very seldom go to our local Cracker Barrel anymore. Lots of great breakfast places in Evansville and Newburgh.

We went TO CB for the first time in 4 years. Disappointing. Small portions and bland. Service was poor.
I prefer Bob Evans, or a small local place

How about letās not call this stuff by the meat name. Itās a ground up plant patty. Sausage shouldnāt even be in the name. The stuff is showing up all over the place.

In the end, if you don't want to eat it, don't eat it. But is it really worth getting your panties all knotted up over?
I don't think so...

Cracker Barrel has always been a favorite of mine. Definitely not a deal breaker for me. I hadn't visited one in several months though so I can't speak of their current portion sizes but, I haven't had a bad experience there yet.
I also have an outstanding coffee mug selection from there!

Luckily, no problems for us at CB. We usually get the homestyle chicken tho.

That meatless stuff is very bad for you. I will not eat in a restaurant that offers very unhealthy menu (very bad for you) items. How can I trust them with any over menu items!

We went TO CB for the first time in 4 years. Disappointing. Small portions and bland. Service was poor. I prefer Bob Evans, or a small local place I went to Bob Evans for supper. Their Chicken Breast was out of a bag strip like things. Great service with just one waitress. I have noticed it is easy to get seating. I do buy their mashed potatoes in the store though. They taste good and are easy to fix. I try to support local owned business as much as possible. I buy a box or 2 of some ammo or other shooting items just to help keep them around. There a couple of bars and restaurants I go to. A small Mexican place opened a year ago. Good food and service. I remarked to my daughter after my last trip there that the food was better and cheaper than Taco Bell. Well it would have been less if I did not get the 24 oz margarita. I have no problem with the veg based products. They just do not serve them rare-medium.

Stevein,
We buy the Bob Evans sides in or grocery. Good stuff. We really Like the Loaded Mashed Potatoes.
Mashed sweet potatoes are good but we doctor those up with brown sugar and top them with miniature marshmallows

I had a bad encounter at the Cracker Barrel in Scottsburg, IN. We got there an hour and 20 minutes before they closed and ordered our food right away. 45 minutes later and still no food. I had to leave and pick up my stepdaughter from dance practice a few blocks away. When I got back to the restaurant they had locked the doors since it was 15 minutes before closing time. My meal was sitting on the table. I called my wife and she was arguing with the manager about letting me back in since I was the one paying for the food. My stepson ran over and pushed the door open for me. I got a little heated with the manager and let them know their slow service was the cause of all this. It took an hour to get the food and they were not busy at all. They brought me a to go box and I dumped all my food in it. They didn't bring me any plastic silverware so I grabbed a spoon off the table and told the manager I'd just take that one with me. When I went to pay I voiced my frustration to the cashier. She called the manager and she refused to come and speak to me. The cashier was nice and took half our order off the bill. So now I have an oddball Cracker Barrel spoon in our silverware drawer. We laugh about it whenever it gets used.

It's a free country and they can do what they want, but I think it IS pathetic. It should not surprise CB that their typical customer base is not down with meatless crap.
Wait till I tell mom. lol

But I thought it was crazy to hear some of the comments over the radio! Just as long as it doesn't end up on my plate, I have no issue with them adding the offering. Honestly, I just with all these "clean eaters" would look unto what really is in all these things. My biggest confusion is if they don't want to eat meat, why do they want something that tastes like meat?

Wait till I tell mom. lol I don't see an issue with a company trying to grow their business by appealing to a segment of people that is underserved by the restaurant's existing menu choices. IMO, it's much ado about nothing and it's silly how people get all worked up over nonsense like this...
