Anyone else seeing a huge increase in the population of groundhogs? I have taken 4 at my home and many more in my woods ( several counties away) and I don't seem to be making a dent in the numbers & amount of damage being done.. I have never see this many around before.. has something happened to predators ?

No problem with groundhogs however I have rid the world of 9 raccoons this month. My neighbor is up to 9 also.

The section of old 67 going into Mooresville (No Hunting allowed) of course, it seems there has been an increase in population. This section of road has always had good numbers of whistle pigs, but here lately late of an evening its nothing to see a dozen them munchin on clover in just under a mile section of road.

I would say that the city of Mooresville or the State, it's along old 67 going into Mooresville.

Groundhogs are 24/7/365. Same for coons or anything damaging for that matter.

Something started last week digging up my wife's flowers. I spotted the ground hog yesterday. My son took his air gun a couple weeks ago and I have no small .22 or BB gun around. I will be getting a .22 soon. My guess this weekend. Either a rifle or handgun with 6-8" barrel.

OR do a lot of searching to find it's den and put a Conibear 220 in the opening.
