Can't beat it.
Picked blackberries last week and made four pies. Had sweet corn tomatoes & cucumbers last evening with some chicken, Vincennes Cantaloupe for breakfast this morning, and we're having garden beans onions, ham and taters for supper tonight.
Don't raise sweet corn anymore, but usually freeze 6-8 dozen for use year round.

I went out last weekend trying to find some chanterelles. Must be a week or two early, didn't find a single one.

I walked down to our creek bottom on Tuesday and we had chanterelles already too old to pick. A few fresh ones but most were already shriveled up. Guessing the next good rain we get they will pop up big time.

Everything from the back yard. Zucchini with jalapeño cream cheese, bacon bits and cheese air fried. Fresh maters and deer steaks marinated in Italian dressing.  |
