Our town was listed on a tornado projected storm track, but has since been cancelled. The storm is hitting us right now, and boy is it ever a gullywasher!

We got pounded this morning, the power was out when I got up, but it came back on relatively quickly. The dogs had to go out, when I opened the door and they saw the rain they just stood there. LOL I told them "outside, go potty" and they went all of 5 feet, hit the flower bed and were nose to the door as soon as they were done. It was raining buckets. We are supposed to get hit with a severe storm at 1pm Central Time, and just had a clap of thunder that rattled the house.

Quite a doozy on the radar! Calling for 8-12" snow and up to 45mph wind in the far N, NW today.
School just canceled.
Wish my work did the same, but wont happen. My Christmas blizzard day off was a once in a lifetime present. Lol

The Wehner creek is running. Lots of rain and looks like upper north Indiana and neighboring states getting snow hammered.

3 inches of rain to this point. Sounds like the highest wind gusts around here will be between 60-70 mph.
IF that happens, we'll be looking at another Ike situation as there will be several thousand outages in Southern Indiana.
I hate Indiana weather...
UPDATE:
As of 4:00 pm there are approximately 9,000 outages around me and the winds are still blowing.

LOL If the schools are closed, do they still have those meetings? The weather guessers are all over the place. Some say 3" snow, others are saying 40% possibility of 18" snow. All by 11pm. I guess I will see who's right later on tonight. |

It is a slop house out there now. Got approx 4-5" of slush and soup. I made one wrong step, and it went over the top of my boot. Not happy right now.

Rain total in scenic Floyd Co. is 3.55" with most of that before noon. Winds have been damaging and our electric has been out for over an hour. My generator is up and running.

Had 4” rain then tornado right behind my house today. Tore the roof off a church looking at it from my backyard.  |
