Yesterday the forecast was 1-3 inches and we ended up with 5-7. I had 6. This weeks forecast being forecasted of 3-5 or more means we will get a dusting to an inch.

Cold and clear here in Montana this morning. Supposed to get some snow later this week to go along with the 2 inches we got yesterday. Saw on the news our local mountains are at 122% on normal, and a lot of what we've had this year has been wet, as opposed to the normal powder. I would appreciate it if when we come out to look around in April that you guys could arrange for some tee shirt weather for us. Thanks.  |

They were just off by 6 inches and issuing a winter storm warning yesterday.
Lost a lot of faith in forecasters.

Always thought of the weather forecasters......about the only folks who can screw up at work (missing forecasts) as much as they do and not get fired. As my mom would always tell me "well we just have to take it"

Too early to tell if historic snowfalls are correct. We will know more Wednesday night. LOL They are predicting 4"-8" for here now.

I had right at 2" Sunday. One of my friends lives about 20 miles north, just south of Salem. He had over 4" I got up around 3:45am to take a leak and there was absolutely nothing. Then by 6:30 it was snowing as hard as I've seen.
I often check a weather blog that a local nerd runs. He checks all of the computer models and then discusses the similarities and differences. I back tracked his posts from Sunday morning. He started ranting just after midnight that the NWS is dropping the ball and that we would get hammered hard and fast. He was 100% correct and the "professionals" with their fancy degrees and titles were 100% wrong.

I've been in Indy when they got 4 inchs. They act like it's 4'. Up here by the lake 4 inchs is just mother nature sneezing. It taint no storm.
