Starts fine...I keep it in the garage where it's heated to 50 degrees.  If it's outside, and it's really cold, I plug it in. No issues. |

I’ve wheel barrowed enough fire wood to the house for the 3 - 4 extreme cold nights. Generator is gassed up and ready, but honestly I think this will fizzle in SW Indiana.

-11 actual air temp now. I’m going to hit the lake tomorrow for some ice fishing. Supposed to get above 0.

I’ll bet the snow is minimal, but it WILL be colder than a well diggers butt in the Klondike! |

I got the mower and wagon out to haul the "real" fire wood up close and ruined a tire I shoulda put air in, but I got a good couple days worth laid in. Then I got out the wheel barrow and filled it with stuff from the close wood pile and brought it right up by the door.
Still got a good shot at some snow though, I never put the plow on the tractor.

Heard on the radio this morning that in Cheyenne, WY the temp dropped from 43 to 3 in less than an hour.

With the weather being predicted I can’t phantom someone being forced to come to work Friday or Saturday. That would be a lawsuit waiting to happen especially if something happens to them at work or getting there. SMH Im not condemning the safety guidelines. More to speak of this guys repeated antics. He does it when theres 2 inches and the wind blows. Anything to get out of work. Brags about his truck is the best, tires that me and you cant buy, etc. He could at least wait to see how the conditions really are before causing a panic. We all drive 4wd, so if one "cant" make it in, none of us "should". Of course if blizzard and visibility is zero, or roads impassible, then it is what it is, and nobody would/should question it. What did I say? I got an informing email that the joker called in sick today. 🙄 So I'll be handling any/everything by myself tonight. I bet my paycheck he wont be there tomorrow either. Sorry A$$. |

Up to -12 now. About 6 inches of slush with 8 inches of snow on top out on the lake. I drove all the way out to my spot but the wind was brutal. Maybe give it another try tomorrow.  |

Anybody want to come over for coffee? Years ago we were snowmobiling in Wisconsin. We walked into a place to get warmed up and something to eat and the thermometer on the wall by the door read 25. When we left it read 31 and then I realized that it was BELOW zero, not above..... That was an interesting weekend. We heard wind chills were up to -81°F. My car had a tank heater spliced in the lower heater core hose, we had to get charcoal and light a fire under my buddies Jeep to get it warm enough to start. |

My county of residence, LaPorte, has shoreline on Lake Michigan. So my county weather bug receives nautical weather alerts as well as inland. It is constantly going off with small craft advisories, freezing spray, beach hazard, etc.
Just checked right now and its the first time in a long time, that there is nothing going on! The coast is clear at the moment! Shhhhhhh. Lol
