The lawn mower will start and run. Went thru carb, cleaned an installed, put spark tester on it. Has spark but looks weak to me. Problem is if I let it sit on drive it runs great but when I start mowing it will run a little while then just die. May start on next pull and run couple minutes may not. I have to assume some thing is stopping the spark or grounding it out when the mower is bouncing across the yard. Where and what should I look for. It is a cheep brings and straten 122cc Murry mower. Any suggestions will be apericiated.

Disconnect the kill switch and use the choke to kill it… if that doesn’t work make sure governor spring is connected correctly.

Just can not keep it running when mowing only runs continuous when sitting on drive. Does not bough down just shuts off.

Check spark plug connection… maybe try another spark plug.
No kill switch you’re saying?
Stater could be going out also… check it see if it has become loose!

Is this a Home Depot Elcheapo? If so I have the same problem with mine. Toatal piece of garbage, I cut as close as I possibly can with my rider then hit it with the weed eater. If you are not in the situation where you need a rider I would consider going to a reputable dealer and buying a better brand. I've made the same mistake, not judging, just telling you what I would do if I was in the market for a GOOD push mower. Good luck!

I bought an EGO batter powered mower two years ago and could not be more satisfied. No gas, no choke, no pull rope, etc.

Could be the vent in the gas cap is plugged.

Could also be the float in the carb being out of adjustment (should be level). If the float is hanging too low, it can cause the fuel supply to shut off when the bowl isn't full. The engine burns the fuel it has, then starves and dies. Wait a minute and the mower will start again because the bowl has refilled.
Sometimes this is caused by the needle, if it's plastic. They swell up.

Turn in your MAN CARDI bought it when the virus started and the kids were sent home from school about the time mowing season hit. I was not going to let them sit around and watch TV all day. I "let" them use it until I realized that I could actually listen to music or a pod cast while mowing. Now mowing is my peaceful time when no one can bother me. I have since bought DeWalt's chainsaw, weed eater, and blower. I wanted their mower, but at the time they did not offer a self-propelled model. Now they do. If someone offered me $100 for the EGO mower, I'd sell it and buy a Dewalt simply for battery uniformity. Nothing against the EGO mower whatsoever. It's just not yellow!

Battery powered tools have come a long way. Even chainsaws. I saw a 72 volt chainsaw demo. I was surprised at the power.

No gas, no choke, no pull rope, etc. I was driving through Bloomington over the weekend and saw someone mowing with their battery mower. I was stopped at a light so I listened and couldn't even hear the mower over the truck. It was a strange sight, amazing how quiet they are.

My neighbor has a battery powered mower and you are right, it's amazingly quiet. He says he gets good run time from the batteries too. My only concern would be the cost of replacing the batteries. Some of them are expensive.

It might become an issue.

Last I heard, Home Depot and Lowes will accept the batteries from you @ no cost.
