I believe if he is only watching he doesn’t need one. If he partakes in the hunt in any way; videos, calls, etc then he does need one.

I thought it was the same way too. If not, I’ve taken my wife and kids with me hunting and they haven’t had a license. Guess my bad if I was wrong.

This is all the easy to find regs say.
"Regardless of whether or not you have harvested a turkey yourself, you can only assist another hunter by calling if you are licensed to turkey hunt."

And that is kind of silly IMO. I killed a turkey on my own land using the landowner license privilege. My daughter has a youth license. If I were to take her to, say, my parents' house to hunt, I would need to buy a turkey license for myself although I am ineligible to shoot one. Crazy to buy a license that you know you can't fill.

I don’t think you would need another license IMO Ask in CO form.

According to the way the reg is written as posted above he would need to buy a license due to the fact the landowner exemption can’t transfer to others property. Therefore, he doesn’t have a license to hunt elsewhere. Never looked at it that way, but that is silly if it’s interpreted like that.

My cousin went ahead and bought a license. He thought he was just going along and didn’t want to get in the way of me harvesting one. I laughed and told him that’s not how it works with me…if there’s an opportunity to harvest one it was going to be him!! Love it when a plan comes together!! I sure wish the regulations were a little more black and white on some things…I hate not knowing or having the ability to find the answers quickly!

If you don’t participate in the hunt as in calling or dragging/carrying the game you don’t need a license from my understanding and question I seen asked and answered!

You shouldn’t be able to buy a license if you already checked in your state wide limit….,I do get what you’re saying though. Crazy rule IMO
