Hey guys, newer to the forum and never Turkey hunted before. I am pretty much specifically a public lane Hunter, but I feel like turkeys are less prevalent on public land? Which state forests even have turkeys? I took a deer from Morgan Monroe this year and live near Wilbur Wright. How do you know if they even have turkeys?

Just have to get out and scout. Look for tracks, feathers, and scratching. I’d some most of not all public properties have some turkeys on them.

Not sure about locations around the states or if they are draw or check in. But I can say I don't think Wilbur Wright has many if any (I live in the area too).
