That SB228 could get real interesting. No person to person gun sales. It must go through a ffl. I don’t like the storage part of it either.

HB 1390 actually is a restriction on DNR entering private property.
So.... someone here get caught doing something they shouldn't have been and cried to a legislature buddy to help them out?

Prohibits a person from keeping or storing an unsecured firearm on any premises controlled by the person under certain circumstances. Makes the failure to secure a firearm a Level 6 felony if the offense results in injury or death, enhances the offense to a Level 5 felony if the person has a prior unrelated conviction, and provides a defense. Requires a person wishing to transfer a firearm to another person to transact the transfer through a firearms dealer (dealer), subject to certain exceptions, and specifies the procedure to be used by the dealer to effect Acquisition and storage of firearms. Prohibits a person from keeping or storing an unsecured firearm on any premises controlled by the person under certain circumstances. Makes the failure to secure a firearm a Level 6 felony if the offense results in injury or death, enhances the offense to a Level 5 felony if the person has a prior unrelated conviction, and provides a defense. The first prohibits statement to me reads I can’t keep an unsecured firearm in my house. Am I wrong? I didn't read the entire language, but the summary sounds like house, garage, vehicle, camper, barn, possibly hunting blind if someone wanted to push it far enough.

I can’t believe they consider this a loaded weapon: Ammunition in close proximity to the firearm so that a person can readily insert the ammunition into the firearm
