Twas the week before Christmas and all through the woods not a creature was stirring, this didn't look good. Game cameras were hung on the trees with care in hopes a big buck would soon be seen there. And there I was nestled all snug in my blind with hopes that the deer wouldn't come from behind. Wearing long underwear and a blaze orange cap I was snug as a bug and fighting a nap. When out in the brush there arose such a clatter I turned my head slowly to see what was the matter Behind my right shoulder I'd seen something dash whatever it was though was gone in a flash. Crisp leaves on the ground of the cold forest floor made for a commotion that was hard to ignore. When what to my wondering eyes should appear but a miniature squirrel and no freaking dang deer.
