Coyotes are a scourge I take out everyone I can, I usually get at least one during bow season.

Was pretty cool. Shot a coyote in the morning with my Ravin crossbow then my son wanted to hunt the evening so I switched over to my Mathews bow and shot my buck with that. My son almost shot a doe about 10 minutes after I shot my buck.

Well ended up seeing 1 doe this morning. She was antsy already about something, and I couldn't get her to sit still for a shot so i was forced to pass on her. Now Im on the Spencer/Warrick line at Little Pigeon Creek to take a stab here. I seen 1 about an hour ago and probably could have made a shot, but then again I didn't want to push the envelope. Im here until dark anyway so who knows she might come back to visit the cut corn field. If not it's no big deal, just thankful for a awesome time in the woods.

Oh yeah, if the feller I walked in on is a member here, I truly am sorry for that. It was my 1st time in that section and really didn't have a clue where you were, but you had a pretty good view.

Shot a 10 tonight. Directly below my tree, I tried to spine him but hit about 2” left. I’m pretty sure I got one lung, had bright red blood and lung bubbles in it too. Tracked for about 200 yds in the dark until we came upon a set of eyes about 50 yds away. Turned around and backed out (it didn’t spook) so will be back tomorrow morning to finish the tracking job. I hope you get to it before the coyotes do. Jinxed it!

Nothing happening in N.E. Noble county this morning. Had a deer blow at me as I was walking in about 6:40. No deer or squirrels seen. Heard a bunch of turkeys clucking but never saw them. Maybe tomorrow will be better.

My son almost shot a doe about 10 minutes after I shot my buck. Well at least they didn't make a huge mess of him, but congratulations on a nice buck and on the recovery I can't leave a deer over night in my area because the coyotes or bobcats will find them in a hurry. A couple years ago I shot a doe in the morning and sat in my stand just for another 30 minutes before I tracked her. She did not go 30 yards but it was thick to where I could not see her from my stand. When I found her either a yote or bobcat already stated eating on her. Another time I hit a doe in the evening and tracked her about 100 yards so I went back to look for her in the morning right at daylight and to my surprise a bobcat had covered the whole deer with a pile of leaves. I pulled her out of the leaves but she was a mess and I could not save any of the meat. That is why I trap after deer season. I sure wish they would open a bobcat season in Indiana we are covered up with them.

Couple of years ago I shot a doe, after the shot she ran about 70 yds away but out of sight. I heard her crash and knew she was dead. I was in a climber and because I was 100% sure she was dead I immediately started packing my gear. By the time I got to her a coyote was already tugging at her belly. I had the arrow in my hand that I just shot that doe with so I nocked it and shot the coyote too. Hehe….it killed him too. I average at least one coyote per deer season.

Sitting behind the house for the first time this season. Hoping they move from the beans back through this creek bottom.

Well according to IDNR 3 years ago, they were throwing the bobcat season idea around, but that came from a Warden that I talked to while hunting river bottom ground in Spencer County. I had 6 that I could've nailed during shotgun/muzzleloader seasons, but I wasn't gonna jeopardize my hunting privileges.

I think we're going to Glendale this weekend to try our luck. Since I shot that doe, the others I've been getting on camera have been before and after shooting hours. Im hoping they change their pattern soon, Glendale is a pretty decent drive for me.

Full moon is tomorrow so this should get them moving in daylight. It's getting close. I plan to hunt Saturday morning across the street from my house.
