Wonder how this breaks down in ages! BTW … thanks for posting this…. The booster shot is coming next month and have had questions about that from parents Last I saw the age groups haven't changed much since early days of covid, with he exception that deaths in the vaccinated group are mostly in the 70+ range. It appears hospitalizations in children may be increasing with the Delta Variant, however I never really watched the number during the earlier days.

Just let it go. Natural selection at work, it'd for sure weed out the stupid ones (IMO). If those numbers aren't enough to convince someone that the vaccine works, then it's on them.

I know it’s going through the schools quickly. My son has it now, our friends son does as well, and now both their daughters have the symptoms. Get emails from the schools at least three times a week about how many kids have it.

Also got email from work that starting Monday, back to daily health check forms and masks required if you are unvaccinated.

You mean it'll weed out 0.2% of the stupid ones? It seems to me like there are a lot of people building some level of natural immunity now. I doubt we're ever fully rid of it, but hopefully between the vaccines and those who have natural antibodies the severity will decrease.

I understand and respect personal choice but it has limits. The unvaccinated population is a petri dish for really, really bad variantd to evolve.
I happen to be in Mississippi at the moment, fortunately with a fully vaccinated family group. Mississippi just announced that anyone that tests positive must isolate for 10 days or face six months in jail and a fine. It is really bad down here. More kids all the time.
The leaders down here fought against early measures like masks and closings until just recently, and here we are.
I also have Amish/Mennonite shirttail family in Michigan snd Florida. A Florida couple came up to Michigan for a wedding about 10 days ago, got infected, went back to Florida and now both of them and two kids have it. She is very, very sick and may be hospitalized by tomorrow. Not a vax in the crowd.
Get the shot PLEASE-

Get your annual Covid shot and still take your chances, but at least your odds are better and IF you do get it it's severity won't be as bad.

This coronavirus, like all others that cause the common cold, will be here forever and it will vary slightly each year forever.

Agreed, but it seems that if you are vaccinated, IF you get it to the point that you are sick, you aren't as sick as the people that aren't vaccinated.

Covid is here to stay, no doubt about that one.
Republicans picked the wrong side of this one and now Florida, Mississippi, and Texas are paying the price for their Governors poor decisions.

I wouldn't go so far as to put a political name to it. I know 2 "Liberals" in Illinois that refuse to get the vaccine. The way I look at it, is once the FDA approves it, then all the talk of "I am not going to get it because of "X" " reason should be out the window. When kids were going to school back in the 60's and 70's, there was no choice, if you wanted your kid to go to school, they had to be vaccinated, right? So, what has the interim time period changed?

I will truly say I was against the shots and probably would not have one as yet, I knew or felt sure that if I ever wanted to head north it was going to be required to enter or to come back
I put it off to the end before I gave in I’m glad I’d but I still fill it was forced upon me and that part doesn’t sit well with me I also believe I had it before it was Covid one guy at work and my brother both went on a cruise both came back and got very sick than they shared it with me. That maybe why I never got it when it was going mad like today I’m around so many people I sure should of caught it when it blew up the first time

I went and got it because I could give the finger to whoever wanted me to wear a mask. Still will. But I also thought that I would need to have it to cross the border if I could ever get a passport. LOL

And I'm quite certain that the majority of the big city teachers who are refusing to get the vaccine are not Republicans.
