There are a few people chest thumping and claiming they shut it down but what shut it down was no 4 and up bonus quota counties this coming season. That is what the regulations call for. So....... if the overall harvest total is lower, will we hear that the herd is decimated again? If the overall harvest total is equal to or higher, will we start hearing that bonus antlerless permits need to be eliminated completely? Whatever fits their narrative..

Well that's no fun, enjoyed the late season as an extra chance to get out and hunt.

I don't own either. So unless the wife says go out and buy one I'm kind of stuck.

Honestly there hasn't been very many counties that have qualified lately and it did appear we were heading towards fewer, especially since studies have shown it hasn't impacted harvest decisions or figures much.

It differently gives folks more time to buck hunt and does are easier target in late December vs Oct/Nov! But in all reality if you want to kill does you may just have to hunt them to achieve your goal.
