Just came out of the house and seen a Robin in the tree. Tried to get a pic but it flew away. Isn't he back a little early?

I think he's a little early but there are always a few that show up early. Soon there will be a pair fighting for every good shade tree.

Here in Marshall county I don't even think they left. I saw a bunch in late January, and they are still here.

Had about 100 of them swarm my holly trees and eat all the red berries in January. Do it every year.

Usually don't see them till the snow is gone and then we have one more good snow while they are here.

I see them all winter long. Never considered that a sign of spring.

I think there are some that never leave. I saw a few in January. I see some every year. They have to be crossed with woodpeckers to get a worm out of this frozen ground.

They never really leave here. It was turkey vultures about 10 yrs ago but they don't really leave the last few years either. I did see a whole lot of them a few weeks ago, before the cold snap.
This winter was the year of the blue birds for me. Not sure if they are congregating in winter or just a population increase or I was just more aware.
Blue Jay's were super thick this year too.

I seen Blue birds during firearms season but after that they were gone.
