You could have possession limits of ducks= 12 you could have possession limits of coots= 30 you could have possession limits of mergansers=10
That comes out to 52 legal ducks.
OR
They could have been dumped by a group of hunters.
Either way you look at it it makes hunters look bad.

True makes us look bad. There are a lot of good meals going to waste. Even a big group could have a super bowl party and eat duck nuggets or something.
I know I have a bunch of stories but here's another. Back in the hayday of waterfowling in Indiana dad would go with his buddies out along the rivers mom and dad were young and had my older brother and sister 1 1/2 years apart. Dad would go hunting on Saturday, catch heck from mom when he got home and would have to clean ALL the ducks because the guys he hunted with were just interested in shooting not eating. Dad said he could barely keep his eyes open and he'd be cleaning ducks. He'd go the next day and do it all over again. He'd have to clean the next bunch at my grandparents or an uncle's house and give them the meat. This was back when seeing a deer was a big event so you didn't always have a doe in the freezer. My family and extended family ate a lot of ducks back then.

Very common to find piles of breasted and unbreasted ducks on the boat landings up here. Sure wish a few would get busted leaving the unprocessed waterfowl. We have enough way back, off the beaten path places that people could use to dispose of their carcasses. Why leave a eye sore at the landings?
