So according to Accuweather there is a big snow storm that is supposed to dump on the nortern 2/3 of the state. Duck season goes out sunday in the south portion the "storm" is supposed to roll through Sunday afternoon/ evening or later. Oh what great timing we have AGAIN for waterfowel here in Indiana. I don't know if I'm crazy enough to try to goose hunt I'd have to have a sure thing "I know where the X is" type of situation to get me out there. The bad thing is you can't scout them if they aren't really here yet. If I had a day to scout AND a day to hunt it would be helpful. Might have to take some vacation???

There has been a fair number of geese loafing on my pond along with 7 Tundra Swans and about 25 ducks.
I went out this morning at 0-dark-30 and put out 7 floaters then waited till 9:25 when a group of about 12 came in from the stratosphere with out calling.
I shot well and killed 3 from that flock.
I am going to give it one more go tomorrow then wait for the weather to stabilize a bit.

3 for 3! Way to go! I've pulled a tripple on doves one time but you get a whole lot more opportunities to try with doves than you do anything else I brag a little because it was with a pump. Very cool!

Drove past 39 and 30 today. There must have been 1,000 geese landing in the field just N of 30, about 1/2 mile to the West of that intersection to feed in the cut corn field.

Seen a few reports of guys stacking honkers, specs and snows last few days over in Greene and Sullivan counties
