Anyone here own a Heater Body Suit? After 25 deer seasons without one, I finally decided to spend the money and see if these things were simply a gimmick or if they really worked. My brother-in-law as well as a friend both swear by them, but I was still skeptical. I get cold sitting stationary in a treestand if it dips below freezing, even with my $600 Cabela's MT050 Whitetail Extreme bibs and parka. I finally got to test out my Heater Body Suit this morning. The temperature here was 25 degrees pre-dawn and rose to 32 degrees when I climbed down at 11:00 AM. I wore a polypropylene base layer, a hooded pullover sweatshirt, and my fleece bowhunting outfit. I didn't wear gloves. I sat for 4 hours in sub-freezing temps and didn't get chilled even slightly. To say I was impressed would be an understatement. I wish I'd have bought it years ago. I know this sounds like a commercial, but I just wanted to let you guys know that the thing really works.

I am tempted to. When I was younger my uncles and grandfather would take me hunting and I didn't have much of quality anything to keep me warm. I loved hunting and didn't want to jeopardize my invites so I always dang near froze. Now I have under armour base layers and "midseason" sherpa lined bibs and coat and 600g primaloft boots with heavy wool socks. I have a secondary set of base layers for temps low 30°s Always have hand warmers and today I used a body warmer on my lower back by my kidneys. My problem is I will wear everything but the coat to the stand but it's far back into the SF and up and down and around hills. I break a sweat to make the walk in just 15 minutes. It takes me 30 minutes if I go slow but the hills get me everytime. I think the body suit would help if it's reasonably packable. If not me then my nephew and my son's future hunting careers...

It is very packable -- it rolls up like a sleeping bag and has a little carrier that straps around it. I bought the booties as well for a little more foot warmth, along with keeping the inside of the suit mud-free.

I used to never get cold. Anymore I have chem hand warmers in every pocket, wool pants and jacket. If I deer hunted enough I would get this.

A friend of mine got a Milwaukee battery powered zip-up sweatshirt, said it was amazing. He sat all day in 30 degree temps with that and an overcoat. Even has a pocket Handwarmer. Christmas is coming soon, I’ve been a pretty good kid. I think..

When the buck totaled my son's Gran Prix I wanted to take the heated seat out for my fold over Ice Shanty.

I do like that Predator Fall Grey camo pattern!
I've got a set of insulated bibs and a parka in the Fall Brown pattern. It keeps me very toasty but I haven't hunted late season in over 10 years. I've considered putting it on eBay as it goes for a premium now days.
