I have also noticed specks flying over mainly when I was deer hunting. It's crazy. My buddy shot one last year while hunting at Kankakee FWA.

This year a work there has been loads of Canada geese flying aboot. In a few large flocks have been some lesser Canada geese. Never seen that before.

SW indiana has been building an impressive number over the past 10 yrs. The shift in migration and population boom.
There are a few hunters that can target them but not many.
Snows are growing too. Not millions like IL but enough to get a Hoosier excited

Not millions like IL but enough to get a Hoosier excited There's a couple of decent flocks of specks in Greene Co where I hunt. As a matter of fact my only band came from a speck I shot in that area. Like you I have noticed the snows increasing over the last 10 years. I worked at Merom for a couple of years and would see them at Turtle Creek. Then I noticed a few a little farther east, then a little farther into the area where I hunt. Just a couple of years ago I saw a flock east of I-65. There's enough specks around I am thinking about buying some decoys to target them.

Plus more Canada silos than I ever need. I am in North west Lawrence county and most of my waterfowl hunting is around switz city goose pond and Worthington. The specs do fly by decoy spreads nicely but hard to finish. Most luck is with big snow spreads. I have 5 dozen rags and 3 dozen silos for snows. Just not enough scouting to know when to hunt anymore.

It ain't like it used to be. Scout between work and home. Have 3 or 4 fields lined up and flip a coin which one will produce faster. I sure do miss those days.

I used to live 10 minutes from Goosepond, now I'm 1:15 away. We should get together some time and hunt. I don't have much to offer for decoys but do have a layout blind and blind for my kayak. I'm debating on buying some speck or snow decoys right now.
