I had to rake the backyard today in order to buy a little goodwill to allow hunting the next four days. Between the leaves and the pine needles from the neighbors pine trees, there was a lot to rake, pick up, and bag. I`m only 63, but good grief, it feels as though my back is literally broken! I`ve already taken mega-amounts of Ibuprofen, and will again just before bed, and first thing in the morning too. And I know I`ll struggle to even get out of bed in the morning, I`ll be achy and tight everywhere! It will be tough enough to sleep just with opening morning of gun season looming, but now, with all the body aches, that will keep me up too!
And still yet, I passionately hope I`ll have to strain again tomorrow morning to lift a nice doe, or better still, a big-bodied buck up into the bed of my Tacoma! Man I hope I never get so old and physically decrepit that I can`t deer hunt alone and do everything I need to do to hunt, gut, and load a deer by myself.

You need a winch to fit into the trailer hitch receiver in the truck to lift it up there for ya.

After a few years, I bought the largest backpack blower that I could find. It still took several tanks of fuel for blowing and multiple passes with the mower to manage the leaves. That was just one round. I don't miss it one bit.

Even so it takes a good 6+ hours to blow all the leaves on the grass and gravel roads. AgriMetal is the mfg, I believe it's the 12,500 CFM 180 mph one.

I just let them lay. Blow the driveway off one good time and that’s it.

Yesterday I let mother nature clear off the leaves. Very good start this year. I say about 70% are already down the hill and into the woods line.

Not only does it beat dragging deer out of the woods, it also doubles as a gurney to slide them into the bed of the truck.
