I am not a trapper. Have tinkered with it at the house to get rid of a fue problem coon. I would like to know a easy/simple reliable trapping method for yotes. Was at deer camp and had at least 3 howling with in 25 yds of camper and neighbor wants me to eliminate some of them because of his house doges he let's out at night to relieve them selves.
Onebentarrow
Ps I also have a small dog that goes to camp with me. I have been going out with her pistol in hand and following her around with a flash light for her safety.

I tried trapping them last winter/spring. I didn't have much luck with scent lure. I caught 2 by using coons/possums for bait. I used some foot traps.

I just got another 12 Z traps this week. Got the all white ones. For yotes I would contact Hoosier Trapper supply or look on line at their kits. I trap them every winter but I not a pro. I will pick up road kill deer and stake them down and put traps around then. When/if I kill a deer I will put some traps around gut pile

Onebentarrow if they are that close to camper also a night vision scope might be in order.

Yotes are the hardest to trap. One they are way wiser than fox and 2 they are hard on a set. If it ain't staked good your stuff is gone. It takes someone that does it successfully to teach you the ways. My dad is really good at snaring them but traps he has not much success with yotes. One little thing wrong with a set and they won't get caught or they shy away.

A friend had a 'yote pull a split ring apart and make of with his MB550. I'm going with quick links this year "just in case".

Not to bad. The cam only took one pic of him before he got caught. If he would have tripped the cam again my dad would have dispatched her last night.. Think the sensitivity is set to low.
