Whats some of your favorite broadheads from the past? I can remember using satellites, bear 2 blade's, wasp, razorback 5's. I remember when Puckets first came out, Vortecs, Mini Max, my favorite back then was Wasp Jackhammer 2 blade. I found they all done their job if put in the correct spot.

I started out with the olive green bear broadheads I took my first archery deer with one of those. I remember that those little razor blade inserts could do a job on you if not careful.

Thunderheads here too! Still my favorites and I returned to them after several years of using other brands. They're still the most accurate and durable I've ever used.
I started out with a Super Hilbre, got my first deer with a Satellite many years later, and had a variety in between that included Savorra, Wasp, Bear, Zwicky, Pearson, and a few others, one with five blades in a rotating ferrule and a "pizza cutter" free-spinning round wheeled one. When I finally settled in to one and slowed my experimenting, it was Aa Bear Super Razorhead for a few years, then the T'heads when the Bears seemed to get scarce. Also gave Muzzy heads a real good try for several years and liked them pretty well while I was shooting 70# compounds, but went back to my old familiar T'heads when I had to reduce draw weight. Went to Muzzy Phantoms then and still have some of them, but the NAP Thunderheads won out in the end.

Puckets when they first came out, shot great but was not impressed with blood trails. My favorite back then had to be the wasp jackhammers followed by the Vortec Mini Max 3's. Thats back when there were a LOT of deer!!!! Fulton county, one sit I lost count after seeing 75 head on opening day of shotgun!

Started with the old Bear greenies then shot the Wasp cam-loc for a long time. Still have a quiver full of them on my old Browning Camo Bushmaster bow...good times!!

I liked the razorback 5. They cut a hole the size of a quarter.

Using Savora Super S-
Back in the day a group of us made a deer hunting trip to Pennsylvania where there actually was a lot of deer, not like Indiana. I ended up hunting a big clover field that had three big apple trees in it. Deer sign was abundant all around the apple trees so I climbed up one and stood on a limb. It wasn’t long when a big doe and two fawns came in and I shot the doe. She did the racehorse run for the woodline 100 yards away and fell when she got there.
I took the doe to a local processor and when he saw the hole the Savora made he said ”, It doesn’t matter to me and I won’t call the warden, but what did you Shoot this deer with?” I guess he was used to seeing just slits from two bladed Bear heads.
I told him it was an archery kill and showed him the Savora head. He was impressed.
I still have a few Savorasin my junk box. Maybe I should dust them off and use them? Nah, I’ll stick with Spitfires.
