This is my 58 Caliber T/C Hawken with a Green Mountain drop-in roundball barrel. The whole thing with an aftermarket trigger was less than $300. You can do the same thing with a 15/16ths barrel in 50 or 54 for less. The big T/C Hawkens with one inch channels, and in nice condition, cost more. I bought the Hawken at a gun show for $200. It looked almost unfired, and had very nice wood. I sold the T/C barrel on Ebay for over $100, then bought the roundball barrel from www.trackofthewolf.com for around $180. I then bought an aftermarket trigger at the NMLRA shoot in Friendship for $35, and sold the old trigger on Ebay for $18. Ebay is definitely a sellers market for muzzleloader parts. You can find T/C stocks, minus the barrel, for a decent price on Ebay when you figure you don't have to drive to a gun show, and pay admission. This 58 is really fun to shoot gongs with.

I have the same 58-cal setup - but with the Renegade stock. The Renegade stock allowed me to install a Sims Limbsaver Recoil Pad. Now those 550 grain bullets don't pound the ol' shoulder like your Hawkens curved stock-butt.
At 100 yards, that Renegade will punch the same tight target holes as my T/C Omega. Outstanding Green Mountain barrels - both for roundballs and conicals.
