Thinking about a trip up next week to the dunes Any suggestions where to stay and eat would be appreciated. Never been and my wife would like to go. Thinking about staying at bluechip casino and scouting around from there.

Camp at the State Park. Blue Chip is nice, Shore Line Brewery good food less than a mile away from Blue Chip www.shorelinebrewery.com/welcomeIf the pier is open walk out to the Lighthouse at Michigan City also less than a mile away. If the weather is nice enjoy an afternoon beverage on the rooftop of Mateys also less tan a mile away mateysbar.com/Right across the creek from Matey's is Bartlett's fish camp little bit nicer place and if you eat there you can walk around the marina out to the light www.facebook.com/BartlettsFishcamp/If you want a great steak and other foods try GALVESTON STEAK HOUSE. m.facebook.com/Galveston-Steakhouse-221151807834/Last but not least if your wife wants to shop there is an outlet mall also less than a mile from all the above. And If you have any family at the State Prison that's only about 2 miles away.

If you like authentic polish food the Polish Peasant is right across from the shopping mall or south of the Shorline brewery.
