Ironsights... is that percussion or a flint? Can't tell from the pic.... Great looking muzzy though!!! I have a TC Hawken but rarely hunt with it, I usually use my Remington 700 ML during muzzy season if I hunt that deep into the season.

Ooh, picture thread! ;D >From top to bottom: Disc Extreme .50/Burris FFII 3-9X40, T/C Omega .50 /Millett 3-9X44 (Just a placeholder, planning on buying another scope for this rifle), Knight Hawkeye .50/2X Burris handgun Scope, Knight Disc Extreme .45/Bushnell 3200 2-7X32, and last but certainly not least, T/C Hawken .45. Sorry for the poor photo, my camera sux. Always wanted one of those Hawkeyes. I've got one of the original "Buckhunter" pistols from before when Traditions bought the design. It's engraved "Indiana Hunter". I've seen the Buckhunters but the design never appealed to me. The Hawkeye is a pretty simple design and honestly it's just a sexy pistol. I had a devil of a time finding one though. I do like the looks of that rocklock. I've always wanted to try one but blackpowder availability is nonexistant around here and it's pretty cost prohibitive to order it. Besides, my wife would kill me if I bought another gun. I've got plenty she says. Every time I get a new one she puts her foot down and says that's the last one. The last time she meant it I think.

I've been wanting one for a while but can't bring myself to buy one. I don't like the stock.

Ironsights... is that percussion or a flint? Can't tell from the pic.... Great looking muzzy though!!! It's a Flint. They used to do a 209 sidelock, but droped it. I have this thing about being a contrairian at people who are too involved in"Period Correctness", so I have a Stainless & Black Plastic "Assault Flintlock" (my Evil black rifle if you will) To go with it I have a Stainless & Black Plastic "Hawk" - The Gerber Gator. It even has a built-in patch knife. My "Possibles" bag is a Black Cordura large-frame-handgun DeSantis Gunny Sack, and my Powder Horn is made from an Aluminium Fuel Bottle. (The "pistol" is a double-barrel smooth-bore .73 Howda...) I'm trying to figure out how to do a tricorn and breeches or Bukskinner in a nicly "uber-modern" material while retaining the essential style before I show up at Friendship (that's trickier to do than gun & gear...) . ;D

BSU that looks just like my Remington except I have the silver scope rings. It is a sweet shooting gun.

Yeah..... I love mine parrothead. It's a great shooting rifle.....even if it isn't a disk rifle or any of the fancy-shmancy muzzys that have came along in recent years.

WOW-you all have AWESOME looking muzzleloading weapons. I`d post a photo of mine, but they`re just plain ol` Knight In-Lines. One is the little MK w/the black composite stock and SS barrel, a sweet and accurate little rifle-the secomd is a pretty camo stock, SS barrel Disc Extreme-both are topped with Leupold 3X9s.
Anyway-it`s really neat to see what everyone hunts with.

Now that's a tricked out Pro Hunter. I favorite picture is Woody's cat. I bet when he took the pic he didn't even know it was there.

I rescued him as a starving 5 week old kitten. Someone shot him in the little field next to our house. It did not matter that he was a house cat with a plainly visable red collar and bell on. I guess him being a cat and a black one at that sealed his fate. He was and still is missed. .

IMO the only reason to have a scope is to ensure you aren't popping a collared animal/pet...
Bummer dude.

We only shoot Encores here. But have a T/C Hawken for fun shooting and have a Remington 700 ML stainless I got from a guy in here that I just got shooting last week. Nothing special about them but the stocks that I did a little engraving on last year. Here's the pix. The wood is mine and the black composite is the wife's. Old Ironsights - the last pic is for you...that is the wife 2 years ago when she used her rifle to drop that doe from 165 yards...with the factory open sights. We don't use scopes either, except on one rifle that is a custom with no sights ever put on it.
