how long will a rifle scope last on a muzzleloader? I no this may be a dumb question but i need a new scope, for some reason mine is not focusing worth a crap (real blurry) anyway i have a couple rifle scopes not being used and thought about using one of those. Or what is a decent ML scope at a fair price. the one i have now is a Pineridge (cabelas brand) it has been ok for the past 4 yrs until now............................ok i just read the post about ML scopes should have done that before i posted looks like a lot of guys are using rifle scopes

I've got a Simmons 3-9 x 32 on my Remington Model 700ML and it works fine. It's not the most expensive scope in the world, I think I paid $125 for it or so.....but have no complaints. It's in a stainless finish to match the muzz., so I have to clean the powder burn that happens on the bottom of the scope near the cap, but the scope has never given me any problems. I'd say any decent rifle scope will work fine.

It's like any other optics. Buy the best you can afford. I can't understand why people but $700 guns and put $50 scopes on them.

I've had a Bushnell Trophy on my TC for 6 years with no trouble. It's can be had for right around $100.00.

If you can afford it, a Swarovski would be excellent. They are the clearest scopes I have ever looked through.

Nearly any scope you want on a muzzleloader will work fine, it`s the slug guns that hammer the optics.
