I likey. And yes, I know I`ve complained about this before, but I will again. When the mayor of Indianapolis allowed the downtown streets to be occupied and burned and looted and did NOTHING, the governor SHOULD have stepped in with the State Police or National Guard to take the streets back, stop the damage, and bring law and order back to Indianapolis, and he did nothing either. They`re both entirely worthless in my estimation.

I just read a story about a D.A. In California (shock) that is instructing prosecutors to consider the “needs” of arrested looters before charging them. I can’t even begin to understand this type of thinking.

I can’t even begin to understand this type of thinking. If we abandon law and order in this country, we are certainly doomed. Lawlessness simply cannot be tolerated, much less encouraged. There`s a reason lady liberty has the blindfold on...

people who loot a store or set something on fire should be arrested and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. Those are major felonies.
Now when the Prisons and Jails are full where do we put the new people who are convicted of crimes. Do we cram them into an already overcrowded jail or build more jails. Building new jails cost money and taxes have to be raised in order to pay for those new jails. The county where I live in IN has the need for a new jail and they are trying to figure out how to build it and how to pay for it.
If we arrest everyone who commits a crime then there will be no room in the jails and prisons to house them. it costs money to house prisoners. That means our taxes go up.
Now in Oregon the Governor should send in the National Guard and break up the crowds of rioters. Allow the protestors who remain peaceful to protest. The second that protests turn violent let them have it with pepper spray, tear gas, rubber bullets and if that does not move them then move in with force and start arresting people and throwing their asses in jail. I remember what happened at Kent State during the Vietnam War Protests on that campus. But they didn't protest anymore after several protesters were shot dead. They used real bullets back in those days. The Governor should send in the State Police if the local police can't handle the job.
And any State Policeman who agrees to work for the Feds should immediately be fired and they can move to Washington and let the Fed's pay them. We don't need the Feds under Trump and Bar putting federal troops in our cities unless the State Governor makes a formal request for help from the Federal Government. We already have the regular federal FBI and ATF agents working hand in hand with the local police and State Police. But it's illegal to send in Federal Troops into the city for the most part.
