Seems like anything that could happen to me last season was going to happen. Got some cool footage of us attacking a timber rattlesnake lol

I get that some people don’t like snakes and that rattlesnakes pose a slight threat, however it’s unfortunate that a video like that is associated with hunting and hunters.

I probably wouldn't have posted the snake vid. Really the snake wasn't doing anything, wasn't in your blind and didn't seem to be near a house. Not a good look to kill one that way in my opinion.

Hmm I wonder why hunters get a bad reputation? Such a mystery.

I could not get past the boring entro. Sorry I did not watch past the killing of the snake. If you are going to kill something do it fast. No need to ineptly beat it to death with a 2x4.

That was a waste of my time. Not a cool video at all.

We didn't kill this snake for your entertainment, it was part of the trip. And we weren't thinking about being ethical, or the manner in which the snake died. What we were thinking about was our safety and the safety of the 500 other hunters sharing the land with us that week. We had no "proper" weapons. Everything was left at camp. We discussed letting it go, but we knew once it got in that field, no one would have seen it until it was stepped on. We did what we thought was best for our party and everyone around us. And according to WHO; an estimated 5.4 million people are bitten each year with up to 2.7 million envenomings. Around 81,000 to 138,000 people die each year because of snake bites, and around three times as many amputations and other permanent disabilities are caused by snakebites annually. Yes, only about 7-8,000 are in the USA, but that still averages out to 1 in every 500 being fatal. Us or the other some odd 500 hunters could have easily been 1 of those 500 that week.
Human life matters over snake life 100% of the time. Drop the self righteous BS.

You were the one who posted the video I would assume to see what we thought, well we told you in more than a few words that we didn't like the part about the snake. I'll still stand by my statement that it's not a good look for you or other hunters. Do you think you got them all? Now everyone is safe from all the snakes? C'mon man get a clue, you just didn't like the reaction you got.

What was portrayed in the video doesn’t align with your skewed sense of threat. In your dialogue you talked about telling the boys to leave the snake alone suggesting harassment to the viewer. If the you truly were scared of the threat you probably should have described this in more detail. Your other videos are well done and have descriptive content. This one looks like wildlife cruelty not wildlife conservation, plain and simple.

Did you do all that snake bite data research before running that snake down in a field and killing it with a bunny sign? Or did you look that information up to justify your actions after getting negative feedback? I don't really have a problem with killing a snake. I kill them sometimes to use their skins and bones. But I don't record it and put it on youtube. Drop the self righteous BS. I'm not sure what your trying to do with all of your videos. Maybe hoping for a TV hunting show one day? I would suggest listening to the feedback you receive and learning from it, not reacting with statements like the above quoted text. The negative comments you received about the snake were from fellow hunters concerned for the image that is displayed to the public.

Dogs bite people every year as well. You gonna kill a dog just because he may bite someone? If your gonna kill it just do the 3 S's.

Same with Honeybees. Darn, I got stung about 15-20 times this weekend. My fault, I went through all 14 hives in shorts and tee shirt. Only had face mask PPE. Mostly on one hive. I sneezed while holding a frame full of bees. They didn't like it one bit. Had to lighten the subject a little. LOL

Not for entertainment, but you recorded it, edited it into a video, and posted it online? I simply don't believe you.
You're just back tracking and trying to justify yourself now because you didn't get the kudos or LOLs you were expecting.

Sorry but the video up to the snake was boring. I have been on long trips and for the most part I do not want to watch other people's trips. Kind of like watching the whole video of your niece's fall recital to see her 30 second part in it. The snake killing was not needed. Show the snake and move on. I have seen snakes in other videos but seldom see any action other than to give it a wide berth. They may have killed it but not on camera.
