Does anyone know if you are required to have a Handgun Permit for a single shot M/L Handgun?

If the new concealed carry bill passes you may be able to renew your permit online or get a lifetime permit.

Hate to rain on your parade...just want to interject a little info for those who do not know... if you own a T/C Encore or Contender you will be required to have a handgun permit to carry it, even as a muzzleloader pistol.
I have been checked several times by DNR officers while in the field and have never even had one question what caliber my pistol was, let alone seem concerned with what type it was.
BUT!! All T/C's are sold as firearms, so if you get a very overindulgent cop who just knows enough to be dangerous they may know that these are firearms, and not considered as a ML, even if sold as a ML originally.
If you purchase an Encore as a ML rifle, you are still required to fill out the paperwork and go through the background check, since it IS a firearm. The frame is a firearm since the barrels are interchangeable, so it doesn't matter what barrel is on it. Also, just to let you know, it is illegal to put a pistol barrel on an Encore originally purchased as a rifle, ML or not.
