Does anyone know if the State F&W people have ever held an event like this at Hovey Lake or Bluegrass F&W area HQ which at Sugar Ridge F&W area?
I went to school with the former F&W director and he said that he hated coming down to Evansville, IN from Indy. He was from Indy and lived there after he got married. The new F&W director is a women and I wonder if she has the same feelings about driving down here from INYD? The roads are getting better and soon I-69 will be completed making the journey even faster. I hope with the completion of I-69 to Indy we will have better access to Indy from the Evansville, IN area of this state.
I would like to some some of the State F&W events held down here in extreme southern IN once in a while.

The IDNR Fish and Wildlife Directors work out of Indy don't they? I'm not familiar with the new director. She was the assistant director under Mark Reiter from what I understand. What I was wondering is if they ever hold any things like this "learn to hunt Waterfowl" down in the Southern Part of IN. I would guess that the State people would have to drive down here if they did. They don't even have a HQ at Hovey Lake anymore due to the flooding of the area. The old HQ got flooded. I use to hunt down at Hovey's with my neighbors and we did pretty good down there in the early 1970s and late 1960s. Things have changed since then. They build a new dam across the Ohio River South of Hovey and the water floods more in the Hovey area.

On the opening day of Squirrel season? Yeah but squirrel season is open like 15 months a year and it is hot and buggy lots of leaves....so I doubt it will impact too many hunters.

I've wanted to learn how to waterfowl hunt for forever. I wanted to attend but couldn't get time off work so I didn't register. Glad to know they do these workshops though I'll have to keep an eye out for future ones.
