I swear Indiana frogs know when season is in because they disappear till one week before next years season and then gone again. I had some real nice ones hanging around this spring but they are hiding somewhere else right now. Went out tonite for the first time and managed 6 what I would call decent ones for this part of the state. I enjoy this sport because you never know what the next step will bring you or how you will land when you step in that muskrat hole. I hope to get a few more this summer and then have them with maybe some bacon wrapped doves and poached eggs on homemade biscuits and sauteed morel mushrooms. Time right now for a nice stiff whiskey on the rocks.

I think the frogs are taking their cue from the Canada Geese. Those seem to disappear the last week of August and don't show back up until the early season is over.....

I need to do that again someday spent many nights with my neighbor and friend in my younger days chasing them. Had a good time but that may of had something to do with the beer we stole out of our dads beer frig.

Went out again tonight for about an hour till I couldn't take the bugs anymore, ended up with 8, so add that to what I already got and we will have a nice meal of FROG LEGS.
This is it for me, I like to do this every year just so I can punch my man card.

I've only been once and managed top get a limit. Like featherduster I typically only go out a couple of times a year, it's a great way to get out when it's a little cooler during the night.
