Asfar as I can tell, the President isn`t trying to get rid of the media, just hold them accountable for their "blue journalism", for which I am very grateful. What they do, with the misdirection, the propaganda and the flat-out lies isn`t protected speech under the First Amendment. They are charged with presenting FACTS in an unbiased manner and allowing the reader or listener to decide for themselves what the facts mean to them. Trump lies and the Media just shows all his blatant lies. Trump hates the media because they expose him and his lies each and every day. That may be true, but on the flip side of the coin they NEVER give him any credit for anything good that happens from his administration. That's the biggest gripe that I have about this one sided media assault on him. They would never treat a democratic president like they are treating him. Where is the fairness in reporting? Ditto on all the riots and what they are considering to be police brutality. Take the cops beating on the handcuffed innmate in Goshen or Elkhart. Does the media ever mention that he spit in one of the officers face? No. Does the media ever say that if the person that was getting punished by the police (be it anything that the police do, ANYTHING) would have just obeyed the police and did what they were told to do that they wouldn't have gotten punched, tazed, shot, knocked over backwards, etc.? No they don't. Where is the fairness in reporting??? It has left the room, that's where it is - it's completely gone. Why doesn't the media make mention of Floyd being sentenced to jail terms eight times on various charges, including drug possession, theft and trespass. In 2009 he was sentenced to five years in prison for armed robbery and was paroled in January 2013. Before the arrest, was he resisting the arresting officers, even while in handcuffs? I'd bet that if you asked any LEO, they'd say that there would be no reason for any of the police violence if the offender would just comply with the officers and not resist. My college roommate really dislikes President Trump and has done so from before he was elected. When I asked him why he said that he could tell when Trump was lying. I asked him so he'd prefer to have a president that you couldn't tell when she was lying like Hillary? Crickets, all I heard was crickets............ Look at all the lies that the past administration told. Where is the dislike for that? What would happen today if the current administration was running guns in Mexico, lying about American citizens getting killed at an American consulate over seas, etc., etc.?

The first thing Dictator's want to do is get rid of the media. That is what Hitler did and it's what Saddam did. It's what Trump is trying to do also. Now I do agree with you about the protestors getting way out of hand. I think that some of them should be arrested and if they resist arrest then the police should use lethal force to regain control of the cities streets. There is one thing to protest peacefully and then there is another thing to block traffic in the streets. Then there is the arsonist that burn down buildings. Those should be in the cross hairs of a police sniper and the trigger should be pulled the moment a protestors lights the wick on the Molotov Cocktail. Setting fire to a building is a criminal offence and is a Felony that should be stopped if possible by any means. There could be people inside the building that can die in the fire so lethal force should be used. IMHO How is Trump trying to get rid of the media? Just because he doesn’t lay down and take their fake news and attacks doesn’t mean that at all. We finally have someone who will call them out and fight back. Trump had the press pass taken away from some in the White House Correspondent pool and would not allow one CNN reporter to ask him any more questions. He finally got back into the briefings but it took some work to get his press pass back. We all know that trump bashes the media all the time. Who owns the various media outlets. That is the real question. And look at the books coming out about Trump written by people who actually worked with Trump or his own family members. Mary Trump for example who is a trained clinical psychiatrist and is Trump's Niece. She knows Trump very well and has written a book about Trump. Look I admit that there are some things that Trump does that I do like. He is pro 2nd amendment and pro-anti-illegal immigrants. Now if he were pro-environment I would back him up more. But he is destroying the USEPA and OSHA and other regulatory agencies that help keep this countries air and water clean and for that reason alone I could never vote for Trump. I don't want the children drinking water that's full of lead. Lead in the wine is what lead to the fall of the Roman Empire which survived for more than 1000 years. We need to do more to protect the environment. And the way that Trump is handing the current pandemic. Well. let's not go there again. .

He is an arrogant so called journalist who should never be allowed to interview anyone. The way he treats anyone he interviews is appalling to say the least. Mary Trump never wrote this book 4 years ago when Trump was running but all of a sudden she believes he is too dangerous to be our President now? She was cut out of the Trump fortune so that should void her comments right there and her being a trained clinical psychiatrist just tells me she probably got her liberal brainwashing from some high dollar liberal university. I agree I do not want our environment destroyed but the regulations that were in place were too restrictive and were crippling our energy businesses and in return our lives. As for the China virus I believe he has handled it as well as anyone could have with the information we have all been given. The WHO and China lied about it and still are, expert Drs had no idea what we were dealing with and still don’t and no matter what Trump does it will be attacked by the left and fake news. Considering all that has happened our economy is still strong and climbing and if you ask people face to face and not listen to the news they are content.

All I'm going to say about the virus and the economy is that I believe that if the economy was going gangbusters like it was last year at this time he'd be a shoe in and I believe (yeah, it's far fetched but think about it for a minute) that there are entities out there that want the economy to slow way down to give Biden a better shot at the election.
Now back to BLM, I'm still not seeing the hype about black on black shootings in the news. I honestly don't think that the media is fair and unbiased any more. The more and more that I watch/listen to the news, the more and more I'm reminded about this song:

I don’t know but if a old farm boy who grew up some what poor and just made it through high school by shear luck can end up making a good living by working hard and long hours and lots of them why can’t you do the same. I don’t believe that’s it’s a lack of opportunities because there everywhere it’s a lack of trying. It’s not just my luck I’ve got a lot of customers who started out the same way BTW some of them are Black some are Hispanic some are Asian some are White the common denominator is they got up early worked hard and late and made it happen Go ahead start throwing stones

All they had to do is one time show caring about black on black violence and casualties. But, they dont care so blatantly as to be completely transparent to most everyone and now are going to go away with their funding and marxist agenda.

I wonder what would happen if a white person started the racist thing about not being turned away from the United Negro College Fund?
How much screaming would there be if there was a WASP College Fund started?

Considering all that has happened our economy is still strong and climbing and if you ask people face to face and not listen to the news they are content. Jim is a hard nosed reporter And askes tough questions. Talking about banning a reporter because you don't like the way he asks questions is not a good idea. I could say the same thing about Tucker Carlson. Even Pepsi Cola and Coke have canceled advertising on Tuckers show on Fox news due to his bad reporting. Tuckers main writer just had to resign due to his posting racist comments on the media outlet Facebook. Mary Trump said that Donald helped the demise of her father. I'm waiting for her book to come out. To dismiss what she has to say because you don't like educated people (maybe you didn't go to college and are jealous of college educated people). Well let me tell you this. People who graduate from college with a degree are much smarter than people that never went to college. Maybe people that just finished high school don't have the funding to go to college. That is a shame. I feel that anyone that want's to go to college can do so if they are smart enough. Many kids work while going to college to pay for their education. Lazy people who don't want to work can use lack of funding as an excuse not to try to get into a college and get a degree. I have a huge respect for someone that pays their own way though college and ends up graduating with good grades. People who didn't do well in High School often are not accepted by the college of their choice. That is not the fault of the college. That is their fault for not getting good grades in high school. I graduated in the top 10% of my high school class and it was a big class with over 400 students. Then I graduated from Purdue University and made the Dean's list my Senior Year. Mary Trump IIRC got a PhD in clinical psychology and is a respected member in the field of psychology. Respected by her peers which you are not included in that group. We are using more and more alternative source of power and energy. We don't need to burn coal or oil as we once did. Fossil fuels are a very primitive source of energy that emits way too much pollution. My job in the past was to calculate the emissions of all the air pollution sources in the city of Evansville, IN and I did that job for 7 years. I determined the amount of coal or oil burned each year by each of the major source of air pollution in the city and then calculated the emissions coming from each one and reported the results to USEPA and the State of Indiana each year. So I'm pretty versed in the amount of air pollution in this city. I prefer to see the use of coal diminish and the use of solar and wind power increase as they are both much cleaner and easier on the air and the environment we all depend on to live and breath clean air. Our energy companies are in the process of evolving and that is a good thing. Sell your stock in EXON and grab some stock in wind power companies. They will produce more jobs and cleaner jobs that even Mike Rowe would enjoy. I'm not going to go there. There are a lot of things that Trump has done wrong. And I'll leave it at that for fear of the entire post being removed.

I am going to let this go because of respect for Woody and I can see you are blinded by your own ego. The best college graduate is someone that you never knew was one and never had to brag about it to make themselves feel important. I also graduated high school top of my class and also have a bachelors degree in business as does my wife and all three of my children. I paid my way through school and I made my children pay their own way also so they would appreciate what they accomplished. I personally hope college degrees disappear and people learn more trades because we need more of those people than brainwashed college heads. God Bless my friend.
PS- Little financial advice, DO NOT invest in wind or solar. It will NEVER replace fossil fuels.

LOL at the idea that college makes you smarter. Academically educated, yes, more intelligent or capable, no not really.

So graduating from college automatically makes one “smarter” than one that didn’t? If I had a $1 for every idiot with a degree that I’ve had to deal with over the last 25 years, I could pay for my own degree AGAIN.

I don't go to an MD to fix my car, or to my mechanic to diagnose a health problem. But I don't necessarily think the average mechanic is any less intelligent than the average doctor. Just an entirely different set of expertise.

Not a knock on anyone in the least, but...I would never suggest that a mechanic is as intellectually gifted as a medical professional, nor would I suggest that any medical professional is as intellectually gifted as a NASA rocket scientist, and so forth. People tend to rise up to their intellectual prowess, NOT "settle".
