Here is what the fungus looks like that the pine beetle puts in the tree. The blue fungus is what stops the flow of nutrients to the tree. Thats what the beetles feed on.  |

Here is a tree the was almost 70 feet tall. Approximately 60 years old. You can see that it had good span of growth and then bad growth, then good growth, then the beetles got it.  |

If you know anyone who has outdoor wood boiler?
I cut 17 pines down a few years ago and had 2 guys take them for their wood burners.
May see if anyone wants to buy the whole load for lumber.

Walmart is having a clearance on trees today. I got 2 pear and 15 pines. About 5 footers. Couldn't pass the deal up. So got a start on my new woods.    |

I have had to cut many large grape vines while clearing the pines out. Large bitter sweet vines that are 2" to 3 " in diameter. Cut down some poison ivy vines that are 1" in diameter. But the grape vines i cut close to the ground are sprouting and the deer are eating them as fast as they can put out new leaves.   |
