Thanks Woody. Some old trapping pics from the early 90's. Reading all the trapping stories brings back fond memories.

In that first pic has a critter I haven't seen in years except hanging on a wall. Any guesses?

Gray's are a mean little critter when trapped. My neighbor asked me to kill every deer I saw on his property they were destroying his corn field. I caught 74 coons in 5 days his eyes about popped out of his head. Me and a friend would take a week vacation and trap coons. most we caught one year was 120.

Wow We never got that many in one season but my dad and uncle did get 300 rats in one 24 hour day. Had a ditch that they would set every 110 they had and then when done setting them go back and start pulling rats and reset. They would do that all night and half the day.

Grays will climb trees too.

I have been seeing 1 or 2 greys a year up here in NW Allen Co. When I was going at 9-10pm I saw more.

I think that the Coyotes are killing the foxes if they can catch them. As you said, the grays can climb trees. I've seen pictures of Red up on top of a roof before. Not sure how they got up there.

I see more yotes than fox. I see more yote sign, hear them often and see them regular. I wonder if the more dense housing around here may be better for Greys.

Hmmm, possibly. Used to see grays all the time and reds as well. Now see one red every other year or less.
