Anyone have any tips about bear hunting in the south? Tennessee is not a baiting state and the 960 acres of private land I got access to last fall is in a bear county and has a couple bears on it. I have no idea how bears operate and how they would move. Can you pattern them like a deer? Will they stay in the same area? If anyone has an answer to these or can provide any help it would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance

I do know they travel a lot for food sources. I've gotten pictures of a ear tagged bear on 2 different baits 3 miles apart in one night.

One would think food just like deer I really don’t know how far the range is on them
I do know when the blueberry are on up north it’s not uncommon to see them eating in a patch so maybe you can find a food source to hunt over they also seem to follow trails up north but every thing seems to follow the same trail

Put out a bird feeder and fed the songbirds. LOL
I agree, find the food sources, in the Fall it'd be acorns

I would think calling could work.
