An oldie but a goodie.
Congratulations on your find.
Looks to be one that can be put back in almost original condition.
Seperate subject. What rifle case do you use to transport your taken down crossbow in?
TIA...

Yep...
That will work.
I need one for my moose hunting trip to Alberta.
Is it pretty strong? IOW - hold up to the Chicago baggage handlers?

Woody, its a $25 dollar case from Wally World. Great for throwing in the back of the truck and going up north for hunting. I would spend a few dollars more for a case with extra strength around the rim if it going to be handled rough by somebody other than you. Cabelas for $70

I bought an SKB double bow case from Bass Pro for a Florida Keys stingray bowfishing trip. A bit pricey but I felt it was well worth the money. It held an Excalibur Exocet and an Oneida Eagle. Very heavy duty with 4 latches, lockable, and has wheels and spring-loaded handles.

Very heavy duty with 4 latches, lockable, and has wheels and spring-loaded handles. I was able to do one better. I was able to borrow an SKB double bow case from my taxidermist. You are right it is a good one. It will hold my Pro Elite and a BUNCH of other stuff too. I am going to try and hold down my luggage to the bow case, a big suitcase and a carry on. That way IF I do get a moose I can bring back part of it as a third piece of luggage. Thansk..
