HIghcotton, how did you go about learning to use the wingbone. I have one someone made me years ago and have never missed with it. Wingbone here too. It's all I use anymore. I just watched some youtube vids.

HIghcotton, how did you go about learning to use the wingbone. I have one someone made me years ago and have never missed with it. Well, parrothead! It all started with the ancient lore handed down for many generations to me from one of my old Indian ancestors... OK, just kidding! That would be total BS! In a word, YouTube! And similar videos! I really have very little experience with the wingbone caller. I mostly like this thing due to the special meaning it has from calling and guiding my buddy on his first gobbler! Matter of fact, the only thing I know how to do is Yelp with this call. I'm a real greenhorn with it! Basically, I suck on the narrow end with a tight lipped kissing motion while fluctuating the tone and volume with a cupped hand on the "bell" end of the call. I've primarily used it as a locator call! The call has always intrigued me and I am amazed at times that it can be so loud!

Jake, 37yds, left handed with no rest. Shot and he jumped/flew up into the field edge. I crawled out and snuck over that way. He was standing looking away. He was leaning, so I had to finish him off. One helluva a season! YES, way to persevere and get it done. A very well deserved bird! Congratulations teammate. Ok bullseye, your turn. Kinda glad, most of all, that I got him the same way I started the season. On the ground, "O-Naturell" not hidden in a blind. Made it a bittersweet moment.

Congrats to all the killers today. Quite a few took a dirt nap this morning. I did a big loop here behind the camper in hoosier National but didnโt hear a thing. Did find a great deer crossing though that got a pin on my OnX map.
