Actually I bet that people quickly figured out that you can vote as many times as you want ..... just keep clicking on "YES" or "NO".
That is why I put my original answer .... one single person can make the poll go whichever way they want.

Really?
I would have thought that OL would know better than put up a poll that can be skewed.
Of course some sites don't care as long as he get hits....

Interesting post copied from the blog:
At 10:01 PM, 6/11/2007, Marmot said: Earlier today, I set a trap to prove to the community that the anti-crossbow crowd has been employing a voting robot (a.k.a. webbot). I used a voting webbot that I developed to post over 100,000 "Yes" votes to trigger a response. The anti-crossbow crowd webbot is currently racking up thousands of "No" votes. Please take a few minutes to place a couple of votes to see this voting webbot in action.

awshucks,
There was no doubt in my mind when the poll went 15,000 + votes negative in just one evening. No one has that fast of fingers.
It seems that OL is content, maybe even happy, to get a 2 million plus votes on a poll. I'm sure that they know what is going on and don't really care.
In the comment section where a webbot wont work the pro-comments are outnumbering the anti-comments 6 to 1.
THAT is what the should pay attention to..

Good points as always, Woody. I can't help but think ODL has unwittingly perhaps done more for the xbow movement than anything else recently.

I don't even thumb through OL or F&S at the newsstand anymore. They are now published for yuppies who like more ads than articles in their magazines.
