Usually amazon or Walmart beats the prices of both stores. I always check what I am buying online before purchasing in store. 9 out 10 times it’s cheaper online and free shipping.

Cabelas/Bass Pro will now match amazon prices. I was up in Portage just a few weeks ago and got a new fishing rod and they matched Amazon.

I agree its usually a bit cheaper but I dont mind paying a bit more to support an outdoor centric store. Especially since they specifically donate to charities I agree with. But they will price match fyi as stated in the above post.

I still have a pre-merger Cabela's card that earns points on every purchase anywhere, but at a faster rate for Cabela's/BP purchases. As far as I know I do not have any expiration of the rewards points.

I have the old, old style Cabelas points card. Only good for stuff purchased there. When BP bought them out, now the points are only good for 6 months on purchases, or you have to re-submit a request to BP to keep the points valid. I tried to use the points ($300 worth) earlier this year and was told that I couldn't. WTF??? That's when I found out about the new procedure. Even though I was over an hour away from home I left the items at the register I was so mad. You may want to do a little more research on your card if it is a Cabelas credit card...I just got this reply back from Cabelas: "Cabela's CLUB credit card points do not expire. The Outdoor REWARDS points do expired. It is the point holder card, not the credit card".
