I put 2 traps out today with some buried bait. I'll check them tomorrow when I get home from work. I'm excited to see if I get anything. I've got a lot to learn about trapping that's for sure. I'm going to order some gland scents and buy a couple more traps for some different sets. I'm getting hooked on this stuff. I would love to remove some from our area before the fawns arrive. I put them out at the opposite end of this field. They travel through there a lot. That's where they drag a lot of deer bones to. I'd love to get one with a nice winter hide like this one has.

Me too. I am setting some tomorrow, never done it before. If I had the dough a thermal scope would help me thin the dogs out. They are out of control in my 'hood.

I have noticed a huge color variation the last 3 or 4 years. From really, really dark to almost golden. Got a picture recently of one with some white on it.

I prefer night vision the sightmark wraith is starting to get good write ups over here. I an using a pard 007 add on at the moment and to be honest i cannot fault it on my scopes, but they are scope fussy i believe. i also have a yukon scope but the add on in handier as i can put it on the hornet the rimfire or the 308 in a second. The thermal stuff is very expensive and i really could not justify that for a few foxes. nv and a good ir laser does an excellent job for me. regards Billy

Hey scrub, I have been a member of the Fur Takes of America and the National Trappers Association for many years and have tons of old copies of the Trapper Predator Caller Magazines and The Fur Taker Paper, both are filled with info that will help a new trapper out. If you want I can send you some. Use clean traps and bed them rock solid,in good location, and you will catch.
