I normally use a regular bow to hunt with but broke my hand playing basketball. Do any of you guys live in the Fort wayne area and have a crossbow I could borrow/rent for about 15 days until I get my cast off? Thanks,
Brian

Can you get a temporary handicapped permit? I didn't think you could. I thought it took awhile to apply? Maybe not? Good luck, and get healed up!

The board that determines it only meets so often. It can be temporary though. In Illinois the handicap has to be permanent. In states where crossbows are legal it would just be a matter of getting/borrowing a crossbow and going hunting. In Indiana if one does not have the permit it is late season only. Bummer..good luck. .

Thanks for the info Woody. I guess I'll have to hunt with a camera if the doc doesn't release me. My hand is feeling pretty good, but I don't want to push it. It would kill me if I had to miss the rut.
