Late Crossbow Season Starts Nov. 11

Frankfort, Ky. – Due to a typographical error in Kentucky 2006-07 Hunting and Trapping Guide, one page incorrectly listed the start of late crossbow season for deer and turkey. The late crossbow season begins Nov. 11, coinciding with the start of the statewide modern gun season for deer. The late crossbow season extends until Dec. 31. The season opening date is correct elsewhere in the guide, including the summary page of the state’s hunting seasons.
Early crossbow season for deer and turkey runs from Oct. 1-22.
Archery season for deer and turkey opened Sept. 2 and continues through Jan. 15, 2007.
