I have a disabled friend that used to bowhunt. He only gun hunts now. I brought up to him about crossbows and he is interested. My question is............ Can he use a crossbow during early archery if he has a permit ?I belive that is how I read the regs. I checked the regs and it is too late this year because you have to have your app in by aug 1st.

Yes he can hunt with a crossbow in the early archery season with a disabled permit.
Anyone can hunt the late archery season with a crossbow with or without a permit.
The August 1 date is just a guide. I know people that got theirs by putting in after that date. The sooner the better though
I have an disabled application form. If you want me to send it to you PM me your mailing address and I'll get it in the mail right away.
He will have to get it filled out by his doctor and then send it in.
We need to get these guys back in the woods hunting.
Let me know.

Get him back in the game.
