I understand by the grapevine that Bowtech will be coming out with a crossbow very shortly.
There is an ad referencing it in Inside Archery..
Hmmm...

It should be a good crossbow if it is anything like their compounds.

Not a real clear picture of it is it?
405 fps?
How do they think they can keep it together for very long?
I also understand that there 'might' be some patent infringement problems too.

Looks familiar..
This looks like the concept that Richard down at Newberry Archery was working on..
My guess is that he came up with the idea and is now in cahoots with Bowtech or they bought the concept from him.
Time will tell.
I'll have to get down to the ATA show and check it out next year.

It looks intelligently designed for a compound, with the cocking stirrup integrated into the frame that supports the limbs. Even so, I'll stick to my Excals. My Vixen has twice been dunked in the river while bowfishing. Tuesday night a large silver carp was flopping on my boat and knocked it off the boat into the water. Lucky I grabbed the attached fishing line in time and pulled it up slowly from the bottom. Sprayed it down with WD40 and still works like a champ. I wonder how many compound xbows would survive that kind of treatment unscathed? Here is a pic of a bighead I shot with the Exocet on Tuesday.

The site is up (main page only) and shows the crossbow a little better. www.strykerxbow.com/Looks to be front end heavy to me. Very nice strelnikov..

Woody, I figured you'd find this. My brother e-mailed me the link two days ago. Like you said, I hope it's put together well.

It says coming November 2006. Anyone heard anymore about it? A couple of folks have said they ordered one and the company said it would be two months before they would get it. At $1,600 and weighing in at 11 pounds I don't think I'll be buying one for sure. I'll stick with my TenPoint QX4 and Excalibur Exomag.. Both are meat getters.. Look for more vertical bow companies to jump on the crossbow bandwagon. .
