Try.. www.archersnook.com/bows.htmlor pull up eBay and do a search for Excalibur crossbow. There has been some good prices on eBay that even some dealers are complaining about.. .

I don't know, but I'm going to find out. Thier prices are real good and then free shipping. I think I found my new crossbow. I think I'll get the bow now and add goodies down the road. A question though, do you have to use Excalibur bolts since the draw weight is 225# or can a guy use other brands?

Personally I would advise against the Exomax. It is way more than anyone needs to hunt deer. It also is a lot noiser and eats strings faster than the other bows. Harder to cock too. My advice is if you want an Excalibur get the Exocet 200 or the Phoenex..Plenty tough enough for the biggest Iindiana whitetail and Canadian moose too. Any 22 diameter crossbow arrow with a flat nock that weighs in at least 350 grains (including the point) will work just fine. I cut off to 20 inches a bunch of my old 2213s and installed inserts in the tail end leaving the front end intact.. Of course I had to refletch them as I cut off the old fletching when I shortened them. Whatever you do buy the rope cocking aid. It will make it MUCH easier to cock and it will center the string for more accurate shooting. Fire away if you have any more questions. BTW - Welcome to crossbowing. I'm sure that you will love it. Deer killing machines.. .

Woody, They are mail order only. And thanks for the advice. I ordered the Exocet with the right stuff package, 585 total.I'll wait for the scope. And by the way I'm already hooked. Last year was my rookie season. I took a decent 11th hour buck with the horton legend I bought off DA Butcher. Well here he is. I'm hooked. Remember?

Oh my goodness.. that is a fine buck first or eleventh hour. When you get ready for a scope consider the TenPoint ProView. I've got one on my TenPoint QX4 and I REALLY like it. It is 3 power and has crosshairs (20,30 and 40 yards) and red or green dots that can be switched off if needed. The 3 X gathers lots of light for those last minute shots and the red or green dots (I prefer the gren) lets you put it spot on. The best of both worlds. www.tenpointcrossbow.com/shop/shopexd.asp?id=92

The marks are right on for just about anything 315 and up. .

Thanks Marmot. Woody, that is a nice scope. My birthday is in October maybe someone loves me enough to buy it for me. If not, I love me way more than enough. My total after tax was 619.99. That's the only draw back to buying from someone local, state sales tax. Even still, I don't think I could get it any cheaper. I'll let you guys know how things go with this company.

Man, what a bow! After watching the dvd I had it put together and strung up in no time. Sighted it in today. 1 group of 2, shot a little high. I adjusted the sight shot 1 arrow dead on.Second arrow I shot the vane off the first. I spent the rest of the time shooting 5 dot targets.

Never, ever shoot at the same bullseye with the second arrow. They are that accurate and crossbow arrows with the open butt end are more prone to 'robin hood". Glad that you like it.. ENJOY..
