Crossbow being recalled over trigger issue
United Press International - Friday, July 14, 2006
Date: Friday, July 14, 2006 5:26:59 PM EST
GAINESVILLE, Fla., July 14 (UPI) -- Bear Archery of Gainesville, Fla., said Friday it was recalling about 2,000 of its Fred Bear F-Series and Outfitter Compound crossbows.
The triggers on the crossbows can fire when the safety mechanism is moved from "safe" to "fire" position without pulling the trigger. An arrow fired by these bows could hit bystanders. No injuries or incidents have been reported.
Consumers should discontinue use of the product and contact the firm at 800-467-1397 for a free trigger replacement.

Bear Archery used a lot of parts from their Maxpoints in their F-Series, that had Excalibur triggers, should have kept that part. __________________
