I bought myself a Christmas Present---Kawasaki Mule Pro MX and am wondering who you guys have for an insurance carrier and if you know off the top of your head, your coverage and cost. Liability is required in a lot of counties and I'm thinking of comprehensive also. My carrier for home and auto doesn't offer ORV coverage. Any info would be helpful. Steve

I didn’t realize INDIANA requires you to have insurance.....knew it must be registered to ride on road where allowed.
I can see where a bank may require insurance if you finance it with them.

You got a list or link to view which countries do require the insurance?

You got a list or link to view which countries do require the insurance? Nope, list doesn't exist, you have to call each individual county to see what they require. DNR does have a map online showing which counties have passed ordinances allowing on road use. I have checked with Boone and Warren Counties and both require Liabilty coverage.

I have Indiana Farm Bureau Insurance for the house and farm, the ATV is tacked onto that policy. No idea on cost, it wasn't much.

Mine is covered under my farm policy, but it doesn't cover onroad.
I think progressive has atv insurance for cheap like 100 a year. At least 5 years ago it was.

Most homeowners policies want to know if you have an ATV or UTV and they will tack a bit of an extra charge on your homeowners insurance. These toys are a big liability for the insurance companies, lots of people get hurt on them.

If it is on the public roadway it is required to be insured. Now, they won't check if it's insured unless you are involved in an accident or you get a ticket, but it is a requirement just like a car. My city's new ordnance requires proof of insurance, inspection, registered with the state, and a fee to get the local plate and that process have to be completed every year

Odd your home owners won’t cover that they cover my tractor side by side and snowmobile I believe each are 45 bucks a year I know it seems odd on a tractor but I take it to moms only 5 miles but it’s easier to drive it over than to hook up trailer load chain down it runs about 17 mph in high so it doesn’t take long
Adams says if it’s on the road you need coverage period
