What do all of you use as far as a bow hanger that will safely handle the weight of your crossbow? I looked up the specs for my Wicked Ridge Invader HP, and it says the bow is 7 lbs. Do you invest in a much more expensive specialty crossbow hanger, or are you using one of the extendable bow hangers such as the Pursuit or RealTree bow hangers? And if so, have you had any issues or concerns with those being sturdy enough to trust your expensive crossbow to?
I thought about just using one of the simple screw in hooks, but they won`t work on every tree because, depending on the contour of the tree, it doesn`t always allow the crossbow to be far enough away from the tree to fit the foot stirrup on the hook.

I would bet you would be fine, as long as you didnt use the longest ez hanger made, and didnt hook onto the very end of it.
You could use a large screw in hook, like you would hang a bicycle from in a garage, or possible use 2 ez hangers if your worried.
You just need to support the bolt shank from bending. Possibly tie a rope at the first joint and tie it up to a limb? Lots of ways to skin a cat. Meow.

16 penny nail works pretty good just remove it when you retire that stand

Screw in step. Only thing I will use them for bow holder and I put one at base of tree to secure life line to so there is no slack in it.

Id imagine by the time you take a 4-4.3# compound and put a sight, stabilizer, and a quiver, if you shoot quiver on, that youre already pushing 6#.
I have all those things and ive never had an issue with the EZ hanger

I`m just being very cautious because I don`t want my Wicket Ridge to fall 20 feet. All mine are the two arm versions. I’ve never seen the need for three arms. Although there are different lengths even in the two arms. I’ve got a couple stands that have some handy limbs that I can use just a regular bow hanger.

I bought a 3 pack of those probably 5 years ago. 2 of the 3 broke where the screw threads end and go into the hanger. The tree step are more cost effective for me. I have 10 Summit climbers out and 21 lock on stands. That is 2 screw in steps per stand.

At $1.50 each you can't beat a screw in step. I have 2 in every stand. 1 for the bow and one for my backpack.

I had a Cabela`s gift card, and not much on it, and really all Cabela`s had were the 3-packs of the HME bow hangers, so I went with those. They`re just the 2-piece extension arms, but I may not extend them when the crossbow is on it. The bow only weighs 7 lbs, but don`t want to risk that falling 18-20 feet.
