Hi all,
I'm hunting Indiana for the first time and need an in-state deer processor. Looking at Whitetail Deer Processing and Taxidermy in Nashville, but they haven't answered the phone yet... Anyone have experience with someone in this corridor? Looking for deboned, vacuum sealed, no sliver skin, etc. Bonus if they hang the deer in the freezer for a few days to age it. Any tips much appreciated!

I live in Nashville and didn’t even know that place existed. Hopefully they’ll get back with you soon.

Great people! I have not had processing done there, but I used to check in there before the on-line system started. Kind, courteous, folks. Like other reputable processors, they will lock the doors and shut down when reaching capacity in gun season.

They're about an hour out of my way. Not terrible, and will take a look. But other recommendations would be great!

I use Barrett’s deer processing. They haven’t vacuum packed mine, but it may be an option. They are east of scottsburg just off of sr 56. Their number is 812-889-2820. If you decide to use them do yourself a favor and get a roll of salami. It is the best around here.

Barrett's are good people. If your going back to L-ville I would take it to Webb's. I drop mine off at a drop off processor and they take it there since it is out of my way. They do everything from Brats to Bacon.

Barrett’s also has a self drop cooler. That makes it nice when the temperatures are up and you kill one later in the day.
